Sometimes I send my photos to exhibitions, and sometimes I receive awards for my photographs. This page is about my photos that were exhibited and awarded — so far, in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Greece, India, South Africa and Ireland.

Still Life – lockdown photography competition

My photo of Frankfurt airport during Covid lockdown was one of only five photos that were selected from many thousand sent for that competition. The competition was organised by Collateral Global, an UK registered charity dedicated to researching, understanding, and communicating the effectiveness and collateral impacts of the Mandated Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions (MNPIs) taken by governments worldwide in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. RTÉ “Eye on Nature” 2022 photo competition finalist

My photograph of three black headed gulls was selected as one of 12 finalists of Eye on Nature photo competition. RTÉ and the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland with the Office of Public Works present Eye on Nature – Ireland’s national wildlife photographic competition.

I was really happy that my photo was selected in the group of only 12 finalists — more than 3.000 photos were received for the competition (meaning that more than 3.000 people participated, as it was possible to submit just one photo).

Dublin Colors Photo Competition

This photograph was selected as the best photograph of Dublin Colors photo competition and was awarded with the first prize.

GuruShots exhibitions

GuruShots is a photo gaming platform, but they also organise photo exhibitions all over the world. It is not easy to get your photos exhibited on GuruShots exhibitions, as the competition is fierce: it is quite common that tens of thousands of photos enter the competition. Around 1.000 best photos are usually displayed on a large screen in the gallery, and only 40 very best photos get to be printed and hung on the wall in the gallery. My photos were printed and exhibited a few times.

35AWARDS

35AWARDS — a major international award created in 2015 by the creators of the professional photo community 35photo.pro. In the first year, 36 thousand people from 110 countries took part in it. In 2016, more than 76 thousand. Every year count of participants increases. In 2017, more than 103 thousand people from 160 countries took part in the competition. More than 257 thousand photos were submitted for the competition.

Special attention is paid to the voting system in three stages, thanks to which we are able to process a huge number of downloads. At each stage, we are hardening the selection criteria. We are constantly improving to make voting more objective.

The objectives of the award include the search for the best 100 works of the year in various categories. Since 2017, the definition of 100 best photographers of the year is based on the three best works.

35AWARDS — Waterfalls contest

I was the participant of the thematic contest 35AWARDS: Waterfalls 2021. “According to the results of the main voting work of the author entered the TOP 4% best photos of the contest. Also, the author entered the TOP 13% best photographers. A total of 2602 people from 111 countries and 1125 cities took part. In total, 6545 photographs were submitted for the competition.”
